Newell C8 is a universal, eight-channel charger compatible with most cylindrical batteries available on the market.

Automatic or Manual Selection of Optimal Charging Current

By default, the charger automatically sets the charging current based on the battery’s characteristics. It is also possible to manually set the current from 100 mA to 1500 mA for lithium-ion batteries and from 100 mA to 1000 mA for Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries.

Battery Type Selection

The Newell Smart C8 automatically detects Li-ion 4.2 V and NiMH/NiCd 1.48 V batteries. LiFePO4 and Li-ion 4.35 V batteries are not detected automatically. To charge these batteries, their type must be set manually.

Internal Resistance and Capacity Measurement

Before charging begins, the device measures the internal resistance and estimates the battery capacity. Both values are displayed on the LCD screen.

Multiple Safety Protections

Protection against incorrect battery insertion and short circuits, as well as automatic charging stop when the battery is fully charged, helps prevent overcharging and ensures safe, energy-efficient operation. The fire-resistant housing and well-designed heat dissipation system further enhance safety.
