The Newell C8 is a universal, eight-channel charger, compatible with most cylindrical batteries available on the market.

Automatic or manual selection of optimal current intensity

By default, the charger automatically determines the charging current based on the battery characteristics. You can also manually set the current from 100 mA to 1500 mA for lithium-ion batteries and from 100 mA to 1000 mA for Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries.

Selecting the battery type

The Newell Smart C8 automatically recognizes 4.2V Li-ion and 1.48V NiMH/NiCd battery types. LiFEP04 and 4.35V Li-ion batteries are not automatically detected. To charge these batteries, the battery type must be entered manually.

Measurement of internal resistance and cell capacity

Before charging, the device measures the internal resistance and estimates the cell's capacity. Both values are displayed on the LCD screen.

Numerous security features

Protection against incorrect battery insertion and short circuits, as well as automatic charging stop when the battery is fully charged to prevent overcharging, make the process safe and energy-efficient. A housing made of fire-resistant materials and excellent heat dissipation design further enhance safety.
